Crowdify is a Chrome extension that enhances audio on Twitch and YouTube by applying EQ, reverb, and stereo widening effects. This privacy policy explains how we handle your data.

Data Collection

Crowdify processes audio locally in your browser using the Web Audio API. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data, audio content, or browsing history. All audio processing happens entirely on your device.

Local Storage

The extension uses Chrome's local storage API to save your audio settings preferences locally on your device. This includes:

  • EQ band settings (5 frequency bands)
  • Reverb mix and time settings
  • Stereo width setting
  • Enabled/disabled state

This data is stored locally and is never transmitted to any external servers or third parties.

Permissions

Crowdify requires the following permission:

  • Storage: Used to save your audio settings preferences locally so they persist across browser sessions.

The extension does not require access to your browsing history, personal information, or any data outside of the extension's functionality.

Content Scripts

Crowdify uses content scripts that run only on:

  • twitch.tv
  • youtube.com

These scripts are used solely to attach audio processing to video and audio elements on these sites. No data is collected or transmitted.

Third-Party Services

Crowdify does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, advertising, or data collection services. The extension operates entirely independently.

Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or transmit any data to third parties because we do not collect any data.

Your Rights

You can:

  • View your stored settings by opening the extension popup
  • Reset your settings at any time using the "Reset" button
  • Uninstall the extension at any time, which will remove all locally stored settings

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
